West Star Aviation Supports Aircraft Buyers with Full MRO Capabilities

As a full-service maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility, West Star Aviation helps those in the market for an aircraft not only purchase the aircraft but evaluate it, inspect it and update it as well.

West Star has multiple locations with the capability to perform pre-purchase inspections on aircraft as well as airframe maintenance, engine maintenance, avionics, interior and cockpit refurbishment and new paint. In addition to the full complement of support services, West Star typically has two or three aircraft for sale in its inventory at any given time.

“West Star Aviation has the experts with the knowledge and the experience to transition a newly acquired pre-owned aircraft from a technically sound investment to an aircraft that perfectly suits its owner both aesthetically and productively,” explains Jim Swehla, Executive VP of Sales and Marketing.

In business for more than 60 years , West Star has locations in the following cities: Grand Junction, Colo.; East Alton, Ill.; Columbia, S.C.; Dallas, Texas; Chesterfield, Mo.; and Aspen, Colo.

Swehla says that history and heritage have an important place in today’s most successful companies as they continue to evolve with the customers and markets they serve. He believes the expertise of West Star’s employees help new owners make the best investment possible in their new aircraft.

“You will not find a more engaged, technically knowledgeable, proficient and personable group of professionals at any other maintenance provider anywhere in the world,” he says. “Strong technical expertise, experienced employees, attention to detail along with a constant focus on customer service and satisfaction remain the staples of the West Star Aviation, Inc. philosophy.”

West Star Aviation joined the National Aircraft Resale Association (NARA) in 2003.

“West Star has found being a member of NARA to be extremely rewarding.  The NARA network embodies an industry resource that is very powerful due to the quality of its membership.  The free flow of information exchange among the members feels more like a partnership than an association.  And the industry friends we’ve made over the years are priceless,” Swehla says.
