JSSI Aviation Innovation Grant

Are you an aspiring entrepreneur with a vision for innovative solutions and a passion for turning ideas into reality? The JSSI Aviation Innovation Grant is designed to support and nurture young entrepreneurs who demonstrate exceptional promise, creativity, and drive in the field of aviation.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Current college students (bachelor’s or master’s degree)
  • A minimum GPA of (3.3 or above) is required

Scholarship Details

  • Award Amount: $5,000
  • Application Open: April 1st – July 15th
  • Awarded in September and presented at the IADA Fall Meeting, October 19,2026 - Attendance is requested.

IADA Application

  1. Lean Canvas: Problem Statement Write-Up detailing the concept & business case
  2. Short Essay: 500 words or less
    • Prompt: How would you leverage these funds to further your idea and concept (ex. develop MVP, mentorship, design a website, survey. etc)

Selection Criteria

  • The top two candidates will present their concept to JSSI Leadership for review, feedback, and final selection.
  • Recipients are expected to participate in 2 mentorship check-ins throughout the year with their JSSI Mentor and agree to be featured in a press release and on social media with their winning concept.
  • Recipients are expected to accept the award in person or virtually through a video link at the IADA Annual Meeting in October.
  • The IADA Foundation Board will review all applicants, with the final decision made in collaboration with the JSSI Leadership Team.
