Asset Insight, Inc.

For all parties holding, or planning to hold, a financial interest in an aircraft, Asset Insight provides a simple to understand, uniform methodology that serves as an industry standard for evaluating an aircraft’s technical condition in order to optimize the asset’s financial performance.

Historically, no simple to understand, uniform methodology has existed through which to technically grade:

  • An aircraft with respect to its Optimal Technical Condition;

  • An aircraft’s Technical Condition as it relates to its Financial Exposure; and,

  • An aircraft’s Technical Condition and Financial Exposure in relation to other aircraft.

For example, if two identical model/type aircraft, manufactured a few years apart but with different Total Flight Hours and/or Cycles, are compared:

  • No uniform methodology has existed to determine which aircraft, the older model with lower hours or the younger model with higher hours, should receive a higher Technical Condition rating.

  • Additionally, no uniform methodology has existed to determine which of the two aircraft poses the greatest Financial Exposure to its owner and/or financial services company based on its current and future technical condition.

Anthony Kioussis, President of Asset Insight, Inc., says that has now changed.  “We have developed an Asset Grading System Process (Patent Pending) that derives, what we call, the Asset Insight Index.” This Index is a new industry tool comprised of the following three elements:

  • An Asset Technical Condition Score (ATC Score) that measures the aircraft’s technical status relative to its Optimal Technical Condition.

  • An Asset Financial Condition Score (ATFC Score) that measures the aircraft’s financial rating relative to its Optimal Technical Condition.

  • An Asset Technical Financial Exposure Value (ATFE Value) that measures the aircraft’s financial exposure based on its Technical Condition (the time used on the aircraft’s components and future maintenance events).

The Index provides an industry standard that may be used to accurately and directly compare any aircraft to any other aircraft, thereby offering anyone with a financial interest in an aircraft the ability to optimize their asset’s overall financial performance by:

  • Objectively analyzing and grading an aircraft’s technical condition.

  • Comparing any aircraft to another aircraft listed for sale.

  • Proving and, if desired, improving an aircraft’s technical rating.

  • Justifying their ask/offer price for an aircraft.

Asset Insight, Inc., recently joined the National Aircraft Resale Association (NARA).

“NARA represents the premier association for pre-owned aircraft sales professionals,” Kioussis says. “As such, Asset Insight’s management believes that the value of its company’s services, being new to the General Aviation market, would be best understood and utilized by the most knowledgeable industry professionals. In joining NARA, Asset Insight hopes to accelerate education of dealers and brokers and related industry influencers about the value the Asset Insight Index can provide to them and their clients.”
