By Devri Pitts, Independent Association Director, NARA
Recently, as the Independent Association Director for the National Aircraft Resale Association (NARA), I sent out a press advisory to remind members of various media outlets that NARA has many subject matter experts with the knowledge, experience and background to answer questions or participate in interviews about a wide variety of business aviation topics.
As a professional trade association for turbine aircraft brokers, dealers and support service providers, the organization’s members represent every phase of aircraft acquisition and ownership. Businesses and individuals aiming to increase productivity, accelerate business, enhance customer relationships and streamline company infrastructure through corporate pre-owned aircraft ownership regularly turn to NARA members for assistance, not only in the sale or purchase of an aircraft but also in a multitude of advisory and support issues.
The knowledge that exists through NARA’s network of 77 member companies is astounding. I couldn’t help but be impressed by the list of topic experts that exist in NARA’s ranks. This list includes things like the following:
Aircraft Brokerage and Sales Aircraft Cost
Aircraft Financing Aircraft Financing Trusts
Aircraft Maintenance Aircraft Performance
Aircraft Resale Market Conditions Aircraft Transactions
Aircraft and Transaction Taxes Aviation Security
Aviation Training Avionics
Engine Services FBO Services
Flight Hour Trends Fractional Market Activity
Maintenance Management Maintenance Programs
Paint/Interior Refurbishment RVSM, Airspace Usage and Mandates
Title Insurance Title Searches
Transaction Closing / Documentation Valuations
The list above, though, is by no means all-encompassing. The world of business aviation is complex, technical, highly regulated and constantly changing. Our members live and conduct business in some aspect of that world every day, and many have done so for dozens of years. NARA members are proud of the diversity of the organization’s membership, and have developed ways to tap into this collective expertise for the good of their various businesses and clients. In effect, doing business with a NARA member is akin to doing business with the collective expertise of 77 member companies.
