The National Aircraft Resale Association (NARA) recently secured futurist Glen Hiemstra to its Friday speaker line-up during its annual spring meeting April 3-5 at the Ritz-Carlton at Amelia Island, Fla.
Hiemstra will explore future trends as they impact the future of transportation and business. “Putting millions of people on airplanes every day, along with critical cargo, has created the modern world just as much as other technology breakthroughs,” he says. “Looking ahead to the next couple of decades, the big trends—economy, population, energy, environment, technology—will influence the future of transportation. The interaction of commercial and private aviation, technologies like new materials and satellite guidance, aviation policies like greener skies, and a desire to continue to enhance access to flight promise an exciting, and challenging, time for aviation and the future of transportation.”
NARA is a professional trade association of businesses organized to promote the growth and public understanding of the aircraft resale industry. Its members abide by a 14-point Code of Ethics that provide standards of business conduct regarding aircraft transactions.
